Terms of Use — MyKid App

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the MyKid App and any related services (the “Service”) provided by Ujumbe Global Company Limited (“Ujumbe Global”, “we”, “us”). By installing, accessing, or using the MyKid App you agree to these Terms.
1. Eligibility & accounts
You must be at least 18 years old, or a school/transport operator acting in an official capacity, to create an account. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity on your account.
2. Acceptable use
- Do not misuse the Service or attempt to interfere with its security or integrity.
- Do not use the Service to track any person without lawful authority (e.g. as a guardian, employer of a driver, or school administrator).
- Do not upload unlawful, harmful, or infringing content.
3. Safety disclaimer
The MyKid App is a support tool for school transport safety. It does not replace direct supervision, lawful driving practices, emergency services, or school safeguarding procedures. Live tracking, ETAs, and alerts depend on third-party connectivity (GPS, mobile networks) and may be delayed or unavailable.
4. School & operator responsibilities
Schools and transport operators using the Service are responsible for obtaining the necessary guardian consents, verifying drivers, and ensuring lawful processing of student data within their jurisdiction.
5. Intellectual property
The MyKid App, its brand, logos, and content are owned by Ujumbe Global Company Limited or its licensors. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service in accordance with these Terms.
6. Suspension & termination
We may suspend or terminate access to the Service for breach of these Terms, security risk, or non-payment of applicable fees. You may stop using the Service at any time.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Ujumbe Global is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be excluded under the laws of the United Republic of Tanzania.
8. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Republic of Tanzania. Disputes shall be submitted to the competent courts of Dar es Salaam.
9. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
